For today’s project, I decided to make a background, and add a lotus-like flower on top.
As before, I took several photos and layered them, adjusting the blend modes and blending options as I went. Then I added a layer on top, and created the “petal” shape by overlapping 2 identical circles, then moving one off-center until I got a petal shape I liked, and erased the parts of the circles I no longer wanted. Copied the petal shape several times, and rotated the shape around until I liked the effect. Then I colored in the petals, and added the shading effects to the different layers. Finally, I added the lens flare in the flower center. This symbolizes my enduring spirit, no matter what obstacles (real or imagined) I face in life.
