There’s something bittersweet about the end of a year, and in this case, a project. On the one hand, it’s interesting to look back and see the progress made. On the other hand, it’s a little like saying goodbye to a close friend.

Yes, OK, that WAS the last “tutorial” for the year. But I forgot to post this image I made yesterday. This was one of the easiest photo manips I’ve ever done.
As I promised yesterday, here’s a quick little tutorial on how to make a cool digital background for posters, notecards, paintings, or whatever you’d like. I’m going to assume you have a working knowledge (and access to) your favorite image manipulation software. If you need something free, you can download GIMP. However this is not a “how to use your software” tutorial, so you’ll need some practice with it before you start using this tut.
Well, it may not be the Zombie Apocalypse, but the year is coming to an end tomorrow, and along with it, so is this project. However, as a consolation prize for both my fans, I’ll show you a few things which I couldn’t show off before.
Today was a very snowy day, since yesterday’s snowfall didn’t melt much. We are expecting more of it tonight and tomorrow. It’s beginning to look a lot like… a four-day weekend.
Today the weather decided to prove that Winter truly has arrived. Although the forecast was for 1-2 inches for this area, we got slammed with at least 5 inches of snow, plus a hefty layer of ice. I’m doubting that I’ll be going to work tomorrow. And when the weather turns foul, I like to stay in and create.
