Today’s image turned out even better than I imagined it would!
This is from one of the kaleidoscopes I posted two days ago. Ultimately, there were at least 20 layers involved in making this.
I know it’s tempting, but trust me, there was NO bacon used to make this image!
I love how the colors turned out on this one. Compare to the original version, Xanadu, where the colors were fairly washed out in comparison.
I thought of the name for this image, because it reminded me of an ornate garden in the middle of a desert, perhaps in ancient Persia. Notice the green plants, and the central fountain, all surrounded by the browns of desert colors. Then I remembered the song by XTC from 1989. So I looked it up, and sure enough, someone had posted the music to YouTube, with a picture of the album cover. I had all but forgotten about that band and that particular song. Been years since I last heard it! But, there you go.
I’ll probably be redoing most of the ‘scopes I posted straight out of ScopeWorks. I’m also trying to figure out a way to market these images; perhaps as calendars or coffee table books, or maybe posters or notecards. Share your ideas! I’d appreciate some suggestions.
