Trying another quick sweet treat: Chocolate-Covered Strawberries!
Well, they turned out better than they could have, but not as good as I wanted. Still, chocolate and strawberries! YUM! And I made some with dark chocolate and some with milk chocolate.
As you can see, the chocolate covered the strawberry slices unevenly. I think next time I’ll either dip the strawberries in the chocolate or pour in a little chocolate, then put in the strawberries, then cover them with more chocolate.
Or maybe I’ll mash up the strawberries and sandwich the mash inside the chocolate. Hmmm…
Either way, they’ll have to stay in the fridge, or they’ll be a mess in just a few minutes, since the chocolate softens and melts pretty quickly at room temperature. And they’re good, even if the strawberry gets a little lost in all that chocolate.
YEAS, THAT’S THE TROUBLE WITH LOTS OF MILK CHOCOLATE RECIPES. CHOCOLATE MELTS AT TOO LOW A ROOM TEMPERATURE. I GUESS YOU ARE GOING TO JUST MAKE SOME GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKES AND PUT THE STRAWBERRIES ON TOP!
