Day 51: Elegant Decay

I took some photos around a couple of abandoned sites a couple of weeks ago, one of which was an abandoned house that may have been damaged in a fire. Other than lots of charred wood on the front of the house frame, there were piles of trash inside the house, and rusted out vehicles of various types around the grounds.

But one of the most fascinating things I found was the peeling metallic insulation (or whatever it was) around the outside of the frame of the house. And once I got one of those photos into ScopeWorks, this is what I came up with:

Day 51: Elegant Decay
Day 51: Elegant Decay

Alternatively, there’s this version:

Day 51: Elegant Decay II
Day 51: Elegant Decay II

I decided to do these with 6 points because the silver reminded me of snowflakes. I was surprised to find the “jewelry” peeking out between the points.

And, just for fun, I made these versions, too:

Day 51: Elegant Decay III
Day 51: Elegant Decay III
Day 51: Elegant Decay IV

Enjoy!
