Day 33: More Kaleidoscopes

Yep, I’m still on my kaleidoscope kick. Based on another photo from our trip to Alaska in 2009, this one was an image of barnacles and mussels growing on/clinging to a rock face that was submerged twice a day when the tide came in, then exposed as the tide receded again. By my estimate, that tidal difference was somewhere between 10 and 16 feet in normal weather.

I started with this:

Day 33: Beach Wall
Day 33: Beach Wall

Once I fiddled with it, I got this:

Day 33: Version 1
Day 33: Version 1

And, of course, this more traditional version:

Day 33: Version 2
Day 33: Version 2

Lots of odd shapes and critters in these. Like fat, pin-headed clowns wearing top hats and puffy-sleeved shirts; goddesses with elaborate golden headdresses; black-and-white-faced alien frogs; little bitty dragon heads… Have fun looking for all the hidden bits and pieces in this one!
