I cannot believe how busy my Muse has kept me the past several days! Even when a particular idea (or 3) didn’t pan out as I’d hoped, she was ready with a zillion other ideas for me to work on. I actually have a list of projects waiting for me.
Let’s see… Where was I yesterday? Ah, yes. I posted the 17 “bars” snippets from my “Stars and Bars” fabric design collection. I never did manage to post the “quilt blocks” designs I made yesterday, so I figured I’d do that now. Maybe later, I’ll be able to post my “Batiks” and “Quilting Solids” collections. I’ve been creating faster than I can post, which is completely amazing to me.
Anyway, on with the show, so to speak…
First, because they are a little different, I’ll show you the Elements quilting blocks. These are designed to mimic the way quilters piece together different bits of fabric to make a block, which is then added to other blocks to make a quilt. First up, the traditional Element symbols for earth, air, fire and water:
I made both the bright and pastel versions because, hey, you just never know when some magickal couple is going to have a baby, and wants a baby quilt featuring the elements. And some parents prefer pastel colors in a nursery, while others prefer brights.
Next up is the symbols from the movie The Fifth Element:
The rest of the quilt blocks I made go with the Stars and Bars fabric collection:
Well, I guess 23 blocks is enough to post for one day. I’ll try to post some of today’s designs tomorrow. Tonight I’ll try to add my Twitter and Spoonflower accounts to my links here on the blog. I wonder if Muse will let me get some sleep tonight? 😉
