Day 126: Lazy Quilting

Yes, I’m a lazy quilter. I love to make quilts, but I don’t always have the time or patience to piece a bunch of tiny triangles, squares or rectangles (we won’t even talk about circles) into a quilt large enough to do anything but put in a baby’s crib, or to use as a table runner. Which is why I’m having fun designing a bunch of “mock blocks” that have the look of being pieced, without all the time and effort to piece each block.

So, here are the blocks I put together today. They will go up on Spoonflower in the near future.

All of the “Disappearing 9-Patch” blocks will tile into cool patterns. I’m looking forward to seeing these printed out onto yardage! I guess I’ll be making more blocks like these with different colors and fabric patterns, too.

Oh, and one more quick note: I uploaded my files to print my latest book, “100 More Ways to Boost Your Creativity”. Hopefully, everything will be published in the very near future! I’ll be sure to post an update here when I hear more.
