I was trying to work out a pattern for a 10-segment circular quilting block, but I couldn’t find any templates for what I wanted. So, I made one. Then I decided to give it away so that anyone could use it. Because I know that everyone really wants to make a 10-segment circular pattern with triangles, but you’re all weeping in despair because you can’t find a decent free template.

I managed to finish that baby quilt last night, and I must say, I think it’s really cute! Although, even I must admit that these are probably the ugliest feathers every stitched.
So, I just found out yesterday (or was it the day before) that one of our dearest friends has a new granddaughter. What better way to celebrate than by stitching up a new baby quilt, right? Riiiiiiight…
Well, it may not be the Zombie Apocalypse, but the year is coming to an end tomorrow, and along with it, so is this project. However, as a consolation prize for both my fans, I’ll show you a few things which I couldn’t show off before.
For the uninitiated, UFO stands for “UnFinished Object”, and is a common term quilters use to describe a variety of projects that are still in progress. Kind of like how “WIP” (or Work In Progress) is used by writers and other Creatives.
Well, the past 30 days have flown by, largely due to the fact that I started a new job and it’s kicking my butt. I’ve had very little creative energy left at the end of most days. But, finally, I have something fun to show you all.
I realize that I’ve been offline a lot lately, and I apologize. I know you all have missed reading about my creative exploits. I’m psychic that way.
So, I managed to catch Spousal Unit’s cold/virus/crud from 2 weeks ago (guessing the incubation period is around 14 days), and I’ve been too sick to do much of anything other than drink lemonade/orange juice, eat chicken noodle soup, blow my nose and sleep. But that doesn’t stop me from being creative.
I managed to complete the quilt top today, and, for the most part, I’m happy with how it turned out.
