My Muse has been hard at work today. But what I really want to know is this: What is so special about the bathroom that the Muse finds it the perfect place/time to whack me on the head (repeatedly) with inspiration?
And to make things worse, I was in the bathroom at work when she struck. Which means I could not immediately run to my fabric stash and sewing machine to try to engineer the ideas as they came rushing through my brain.
For now, I’ll be keeping this project to myself, since it’s something I might want to market it (either the finished product or the directions – or both). Suffice to say it involves fabric, a sewing machine and various bits of hardware and other notions. I’ll be starting with drawings, then working with inexpensive fabric to work out the construction details. Once I get a finished prototype, I’ll show it off then.
The good news is that I’m finally caught up on the old True Blood series, which means I can spend more time working out the plans for this project. The bad news is that, now that I’m back at work, I have to wait until the weekend to spend extended periods of time with fabric and sewing machine. Admittedly, that’s less than 24 hours from now. Still. I don’t do “patience” well.
Oh! I almost forgot! My next book is almost ready to purchase! Just waiting on the final proof to arrive, then it will be available on Amazon. Other retailers will follow soon. I’ll be sure to post here when it is available.
