Before anyone jumps on me for that headline, I realize that most federal employees are going to be seriously hurt by this nonsense. And if it goes on for very long, even we will be hurt by it. But today, I choose to embrace this time with joy and creativity, rather than fear and anger. How? I’m ignoring the news, for the most part, as well as inflammatory social media.

So, as the prospect of a layoff looms before me tonight, I have spent a little time doing something that helps me feel joyful. I made art, of course.
For the uninitiated, UFO stands for “UnFinished Object”, and is a common term quilters use to describe a variety of projects that are still in progress. Kind of like how “WIP” (or Work In Progress) is used by writers and other Creatives.
Well, the past 30 days have flown by, largely due to the fact that I started a new job and it’s kicking my butt. I’ve had very little creative energy left at the end of most days. But, finally, I have something fun to show you all.
Greetings, Fans! Wow, it sure can take a while to catch up on two weeks of creativity. Especially since I had two weeks of blog posts to catch up on from my favorite bloggers. Anyway, guess I should get to it, eh?
I took a break for a couple weeks to go visit family and friends in Mississippi, and we just got back this afternoon. I should have some things to post tomorrow, but for tonight, here’s a doodle…
