A dear friend brought to my attention the fact that I neglected to post any decent photos of my Steampunk outfit for the wedding I attended back in July. It’s time to remedy that situation.
I love the Maryland Renaissance Festival! I think the first time I went to this event was the second or third year when it was held in Columbia. That was more than 30 years ago. It has since moved from Columbia’s Symphony Woods to Crownsville, and is a huge event, running from the end of August to the middle of October. Since we moved back to Maryland at the end of last year, I am finally able to attend again. And it has changed…
Well, maybe not a “warrior”, but I did manage to work my way through a quilt top and back for a friend’s new daughter. And “weekend quilter” just didn’t have the right alliteration.
Sadness this morning, as I finally discovered instructions to make the very quilt block I thought I had “invented”. But never fear! I have a plan cooking in the back of my brain to turn this frown upside down…
This is looking to be a lovely, hot, non-rainy weekend, which is really great, since it’s a 3-day weekend, and I SO want to start working on my space! No rain and warm temps should let me get started on repainting my furniture pieces for my studio. All I have to do now is decide what I want the finished pieces to look like.
My, my, my! Ask for a little inspiration, and some fun and funky ideas, do a little Googling, and stand back and watch the magic happen!
My Muse has been working overtime lately. Now she’s decided to give me just a hint of an idea for decorating my soon-to-be crafting studio. I have several old dressers and a small cupboard which are all mismatched and unattractive, but functional. And, since I already have them, they won’t cost me anything to use them for storage in my studio.
