No, not that kind of quickie!

A dear friend, Leslie M., told me about this inexpensive little app for Macs that makes kaleidoscope images. I gave it a try, and I’m in serious like with it! While there is definitely room for improvement, I do love the results I’ve gotten so far.
Yep, I’m still on my kaleidoscope kick. Based on another photo from our trip to Alaska in 2009, this one was an image of barnacles and mussels growing on/clinging to a rock face that was submerged twice a day when the tide came in, then exposed as the tide receded again. By my estimate, that tidal difference was somewhere between 10 and 16 feet in normal weather.
Today’s project used a photo from a trip we took to Alaska for the salmon run, back in 2009. I had a good idea of the sort of image I was looking for in my personal gallery, and was pretty sure that I would find something suitable from the Alaska trip. I had forgotten all about this image.
Wow! I surprised even myself by getting through an entire month of creative projects! Yes, there were days when I didn’t really feel like making something, or when circumstances seemed to get in my way. But even after all of that, I managed something creative every day. And you know what? I’m happier now than I was a month ago.
Server issues prevented me from uploading this on time, but I did manage to complete it yesteray. This one has a little story, too.
Hey there! I almost didn’t bother with this today, because I was in such a bad mood, but now I’m glad I did it. [Edit: Finally fixed the date on this one! This was Day 29, not Day 28 as originally stated.]
