Since I decided to spend some time with the Spousal Unit tonight, instead of sewing, I didn’t get much progress on the quilt.
I managed to put two more blocks together tonight, for a total of five so far. Four more to go! Then it will be time to put the top together. Maybe I’ll get it done this weekend…
Remember yesterday, when I wrote that I had found the pieces of an old project, but it took me forever to find the instructions? Well, I finally got busy with it this afternoon. Here’s my progress so far…
I actually went into the studio today, and actually put a bunch of actual stuff away. Neatly. Yes, really. Why are you laughing?! Stop laughing!
Anyway… I got to thinking. And you know that’s always trouble…
So, the short story is, yes, I did a few creative things today. Of course, there’s more to the story than just that…
Yes, I’m a lazy quilter. I love to make quilts, but I don’t always have the time or patience to piece a bunch of tiny triangles, squares or rectangles (we won’t even talk about circles) into a quilt large enough to do anything but put in a baby’s crib, or to use as a table runner. Which is why I’m having fun designing a bunch of “mock blocks” that have the look of being pieced, without all the time and effort to piece each block.
